The 14th Sci-Tech Symposium 2025
On April 30, 2025, the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, successfully organized “The 14th Sci-Tech Symposium 2025” under the theme “Green Balance: Towards Carbon Neutrality.” The main aims of this symposium were (1) to promote academic exchange among students and scholars, (2) to provide a platform for students to practice research presentation at both undergraduate and graduate levels, and (3) to encourage regional academic collaboration and knowledge sharing across disciplines.
This year, the symposium welcomed international participants from Malaysia, particularly from Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). The event was honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kannika Sahakaro, Dean of the Faculty, who officially opened the symposium, and was joined by faculty members, researchers, and students from diverse scientific fields.
A special highlight of the symposium was the participation of distinguished Keynote and Invited Speakers, who shared their insights on sustainability and innovation in science:

Prof. Dr. Anchana Prathep (Keynote Speaker, via Zoom), Faculty of Science, PSU, Songkhla – “Nature-based Solutions for Climate Mitigation: A blue carbon demonstration site at Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus”
Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Shahrul Ismail (Invited Speaker), Universiti Malaysia Terengganu – “Harnessing Biotechnology for a Sustainable Palm Oil BioCircular Ecinimy”
The program included oral and poster presentations from students. The symposium provided opportunities for academic discussions, idea exchange, and recognition of outstanding student research.
