
Workshop and Seminar on Biomass Conversion for Energy and Biochemicals Held to Strengthen Research Collaboration

On May 1–2, 2025, the Biomass Conversion to Energy and Chemicals Research Team, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Prawit Kongjan and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rattana Jariyaboon, from the Division of Science, Faculty of Science and Technology, Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, organized a Seminar and Hands-on Workshop on Biomass Conversion for Energy and Biochemicals.
The event aims to enhance the capacity and collaboration of researchers, students, and academics working in the field of biomass processing, with a focus on energy applications and biochemical production. The seminar was held in collaboration with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT), marking another step forward in regional academic cooperation.
On May 1, 2025, the Faculty of Science and Technology had the honor of receiving a token of appreciation from UMT, presented by Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Shahrul Ismail, a key representative from UMT. The gift was received by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kannika Sahakaro, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Prince of Songkla University, who was joined by Asst. Prof. Dr. Tanyarath Utaipan, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, as well as faculty members and researchers in attendance.
The two-day event features knowledge-sharing sessions, laboratory demonstrations, and opportunities for participants to build research networks across institutions, particularly in the areas of green energy, biochemical engineering, and bioresource utilization.
